So I’ve decided to give up candy.
The girl who has been binging on candy since she moved back to Chicago, consuming hundreds of calories in sugar a day.
Today is day 8 and I’m proud to say that despite having the shakes for the past four days I’ve resisted temptation. I’m realizing, though, that I need to give up sugar in general, not just candy. Today I had a healthy lunch of baked chicken, sweet mashed potatoes (which were DELICIOUS by the way and I will totally be making those from here on out instead of regular potatoes) and a whole wheat dinner roll. De-lish. But I chased that down with a sugary soda and my head quickly began to pound. I started to get the sweats. I’m finding it harder to focus and I have three more hours at work.
No bueno dudes.
So, I’m going to the store tonight for food and steeling myself to give up sugars on the below list along with regular bread (I’ll try that Ezekiel bread instead).
Off Limits list:
Evaporated cane juice
Fruit juice concentrates
Wish me luck!
